Attention!Since July 1, 2024, there have been severe penalties in Romania if transportedgoods with a high tax value are not provided with a valid UIT code, warnsVladislav Pachalkov, Team Lead CI & Carrier Management at 4PLCS. This mustbe available at the start of the transport. For international deliveries, thismeans from the moment they cross the border.

Theregulation applies to both general freight shipments and direct shipments ifthey

- exceed aweight of 500 kg

- or avalue of around 2,000 euros

- as wellas for trailers and trucks over 2.5 tons.

In order to receive the UIT code, the goodsmust be registered in the RO e-Transport system. The buyer or shipper of thegoods is responsible for this. 4PLCS customers can relax with regard to the newregulation.

4PLCS will

- enableall carriers to provide the required carrier data for registration in the ROe-Transport system in the 4PLCS TMS or by other means.

- transmitthe provided UIT code to the respective carrier as part of the transport order.

-provide all carrier information required for registration for inbound andoutbound shipments.
